RayDeals ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Information we collect
Price alert emails. If you set up a price alert, we store your email address and the target price you entered. We use this only to send you the alert email when the price drops and to let you cancel the alert.
Usage data. We log anonymised page views (URL path, referrer, approximate country, device type). IP addresses are hashed immediately and never stored in plain text. We use this data to understand which pages are popular and to improve the site.
Cookies. We use a single session cookie (required for the site to function) and, if you opt in to analytics, a first-party analytics cookie. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it operates under Google's own privacy policy.
Affiliate click data. When you click a store link, we log the store, game, and approximate timestamp to measure which affiliate partnerships are performing. No personal data is attached to these records.
2. How we use your information
- To send price alert emails you have requested
- To improve site content and store selection
- To measure traffic for affiliate reporting purposes
- To detect and prevent abuse
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
Clicking a store link takes you to a third-party website governed by that store's own privacy policy. We have no control over and take no responsibility for the privacy practices of external sites.
We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
- Render — web hosting
- Neon — database hosting
- Google Fonts — typography (font files served from Google's CDN)
4. Data retention
Price alert records are deleted when you cancel the alert or when the alert fires. Anonymised usage logs are retained for up to 12 months. We do not retain any other personal data beyond what is necessary for the purposes described above.
5. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Children
RayDeals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
